Member Covenant

I, YOUR NAME, have read and will uphold the Statement of Faith for Yeshua’s House. By signing this covenant, I understand that while I’ve fallen short of Yahweh’s glorious standard(s), I have been redeemed by the blood of Yeshua. I have been saved by grace, through faith, and not because of any good work I’ve done or will ever do. And yet, because I have been redeemed and because it is my desire to love Yeshua will all my heart, soul, mind, and strength, today I am covenanting with my brothers and sisters in Messiah to consistently learn about and daily walk in the good works given us by our Creator in His commandments, statutes, and judgments (Jn 14:15).

Further, I understand that my life is a testimony and that my commitment to a local body of believers is important to that testimony (Heb 10:25). To this end, I commit to:

Praying for and serving my brothers and sisters who call Yeshua’s House their primary fellowship;

Listening (shema) to the elders, should the need arise, for any help I might need in more closely aligning myself with the instruction of my God;

Going directly to anyone who’s hurt or offended me for the sole purpose of reconciliation – before making an offering or a sacrifice of praise;

To taking any complicated matter(s) to the elders for wise counsel;

Being careful with my words, concerning myself with orphans and widows, and keeping myself unstained by the world (Jas 1:27).

Upon signing this covenant, I also understand that should I see anything in our fellowship that seems contrary to the Kingdom, I will lovingly and discretely bring what I see to the elders. And, should I ever feel called to move (geographically) or take part in another fellowship, I will make that known to my elder(s) so they might pray for me and bless me as I follow Yahweh’s leading in my life.

Finally, by signing this covenant, I am making a declaration of joy! I am not trapped, but rather I am voluntarily submitting myself to others out of reverence to Yeshua. To this end, I commit to keeping in step with the Spirit, bearing its fruit (Gal 5:22, 23), all while heralding and living a life characterized by faith, hope, and love (1 Cor 13:13).
