Created for Good Works
With faith as small as a mustard seed, a handful of people set out to run up to the mountain of God with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength. And together, we’ve lived and taught this simple truth: while salvation from sin and death is certainly a gift (Eph 2:8-9), we are also “His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them” (Eph 2:10).

Faith and Trials
Our first weekly gathering was on a April 20, 2024. We rented a glorified hallway and a couple classroom at West Park High School in West Roseville. For us it was super expensive, so we had to skimp a little. We had 30 minutes before our gatherings to set up, and 30 minutes after. It was horrible! No potlucks. No time to care for one another. And if we missed our exit deadline, even by a second, the elevator shut down. Ugh.
We're sure you can relate. While we're grateful for the trials that have shaped us (and nearly killed us), we're also grateful those days are in the review mirror. But alas, we stayed the course and on July 1, 2024 we moved to Roseville Baptist on Coloma Way. Thank you, Abba!

A Fellowship Solidifies
Between July 2024 and April 2026 a congregation solidified. We went through all the normal stuff: forming, storming, and norming. Still, we're norming, and we expected it. Anytime you gathering a group of maverick types, all pretty good theologians, all willing to lay down their lives for Jesus, all willing to walk away from those closest to them for the surpassing joy of walking in the counsel of Yahweh - well, "opinions" happen. And for the most part, we weathered the storms well.
And in the process, something beautiful emerged: a group of likeminded believers who grew to love one another in the trenches. As a result, we are one in mind and in heart. Together, we are committed to walking the Spirit and truth. Jesus said, "If you love Me, you will keep My commandments" (Jn 14:15). And then he said, "This is My commandment, that you love one another, just as I have loved you" (Jn 15:12).
During this time, YH experienced a lot of divine pruning. Some of it hurt, but we knew it was good. That's what the Gardner does. "He cleans it so that it may bear more fruit" (Jn 15:2). And that's exactly what happened. Oh what a faithful Gardener we have! In the Kingdom. In life. In our fellowship!

Go up the mountain with us.
Church websites go through iterations. And our story is still unfolding. At the time of this writing, we've moved from 1301 Coloma in Roseville (Roseville Baptist facility) to 1529 Eureka Rd in Roseville (Family Church facility). And though it's a much bigger (too big) and prettier place, it's not who we really are. Hence the image, as it characterizes us well.
We're servants of the Most High. We're a simple people. Non-flashy, but passionate. We believe in the supernatural gifts of the Spirit, but we're chill. It truly is our goal to be a humble people. We're not here to impress, entertain, or even "fix" your marriage (though we want that). Rather, exist to love Yahweh with all our being, to love others, and to do it just as Yahweh commanded us in His instruction (Torah). If that sounds joyful to you, we invite you to run with us as we encourage each other along the way, and all the more as we see the day of our Master's return drawing near (Heb 10:24, 25)!
